Bobcats Holding Tryouts in March in Manassas
The Bobcats of Northern Virginia will be holding tryouts for its summer teams next month at the Battlefield Sportsplex in Manassas. The tryout dates are as follows: Saturday, Mar. 9 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. for its middle school team, and Saturday, Mar. 23 from 5 pm. to 7 p.m. for its rising freshmen and high school teams. The season runs from June to early August. Rip City's Pro Pitching Academy Sessions Begin on Nov. 1
Rip City will begin its Pro Pitching Academy sessions on Thursday, Nov. 1 at its facility in South Riding. The program includes personal pitching instruction, use of video analysis, modern technology to improve spin efficiency, along with the incorporation of strength trainers and physical therapy assessments and evaluations. Freedom-South Riding Hosting Golf Tourney as Batting Cage Fundraiser
The baseball and softball programs at Freedom High School in South Riding will be hosting a golf tournament on Monday, Oct. 29 at the South Riding Golf Club as a fundraiser for new batting cages. The tournament will feature a captain's choice/best ball format with a shotgun start beginning at 9 a.m., with lunch to follow.
