October 19 - Georgetown coach Pete Wilk will headline a recruiting seminar and area players will take the field the following day for a college showcase in two events hosted by PrimeTime Baseball on Nov. 9-10.
Wilk, who is entering his 20th season as the coach of the Hoyas, will speak at PrimeTime’s facility in Alexandria on Friday night on ways for players to increase their exposure to college coaches, ways to balance academics with athletics, and other tips and tactics throughout the recruiting process.
The showcase, which is open to all area high school players and will be attended by college coaches from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, will include a pro style workout on Saturday morning at Frank Mann Field in Alexandria, followed by games in the afternoon at Barcroft Park in Arlington. Players will also be afforded the opportunity to have a recruiting video compiled from their workout.
“We’re excited to be able to bring college coaches from around the region to Alexandria to watch area players showcase themselves,” said PrimeTime’s Director of Player Development and Yorktown High School coach John Skaggs. “To us, having Coach Wilk come and speak is the icing on the cake. He’s going to make this a very informative night for many families.”

PrimeTime’s showcase is one of three being held in the area over the next few weeks that will afford college coaches an opportunity to see many of Northern Virginia’s top uncommitted high school players. Prep Baseball Report will host its invite-only Mid-Atlantic Challenge on Oct. 27 at Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge, and the Marucci Stars, the area’s largest showcase and travel program, is holding a showcase for its uncommitted players on Oct. 28.
